Cesium 37

A Poem by Russell Streur

Did not
Shoot anyone
Spill cesium
Into the bay
Set fire to the monk
Detonate the IED
Drive under the influence
Or watch the tube today
But
Thought about it lots.

Played some cards instead
At Barry’s down the block
Drew to inside straights
Against the IRS and Monsanto’s crowd
Till Jersey Priest
With a diamond flush
Broke my bank
At sunset hour
The sky on fire
In tongues of Agent Orange.

(Editor’s note: Dow Chemical owns the trademark to Cesium 37.)
